|This game uses the Basic Fantasy RPG system available from basicfantasy.org. This is a rules-light game with an old school feel, taking us back to the good old days of the Baisc D&D and AD&D 1st Edition.|
The setting for this game is the home-brewed world of Rin, specifically on the north western portion of the continent of Numbara. It’s been more than a hundred years since the Goblin Wars and the Marharnen civil war.. The human lands of the central valley are a collection of small baronies too busy combating the constant Goblin, Orcish, and Kobold raids to pester each other very much. The so-called Marharnen Empire (reduced now to the single Marharnen Barony) is increasingly beset by pirates and occasionally the forces of the Island Kingdoms.
The weather throughout the area is usually temperate and mild, with short winters of little or no snowfall and long summers. Rainfall is ample but not heavy, and southerly winds blow cool breezes from off the ocean..
